Crime Stopper Tourniquet Project Presentation

Please join Crime Stoppers as we present our affiliated law enforcement agencies with funds to purchase life-saving tourniquets for area patrol officers at a special presentation on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at 10:00 a.m.  This presentation will take place at the Lumberton Fire & EMS Station1 located at 228 Country Lane (FM 421) Lumberton, Texas.

Tourniquets have made a comeback with American Police forces due to lessons learned during a decade of war in Iraq and Afghanistan that proved how a simple, 20-second procedure could save lives.

As an essential component of popular “officer down kits”, tourniquets are used to achieve hemorrhage control on critically injured police officers or civilians in the valuable seconds and minutes before EMS can arrive on a scene.  Through a generous donation from the locally owned business Universal Coin and Bullion, Crime Stoppers is able to make this gift to law enforcement agencies affiliated with our program.
